Bruce Grant is the owner of Grant Adventures International. He started his full time hunting consultant company in January 1984. Having hunted and fished all his life for the past 23 years Bruce has traveled extensively throughout Africa having personally hunted in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, CAR and Burkina Faso. With over 70 safaris completed Bruce specializes in Africa.
Bruce also saw a need for a full time hunting consultant association and was one of the founding members of the American Association of Professional Hunting & Fishing Consultants. Bruce is also member of Safari Club International, Tampa Bay Safari Club and lifetime member of the NRA, North American Hunting Club and Dallas Safari Club.
Bruce Grant currently resides along the Manatee River in Florida with his wife Tammy.
John Howell grew up hunting and fishing on his family ranch in Nebraska. He has always had a passion for the outdoors and sports, especially football. While attending Colorado State University on a football scholarship John continued his involvement with the family ranch as his love for the outdoors grew stronger.
In 2001 he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth round and won a Super Bowl Championship with them in 2002. During this time John became heavily involved in the hunting industry through organizations such as SCI, Dallas Safari Club, and the NRA. This is also when he met Bruce Grant with Grant Adventures International through the SCI Tampa Bay Chapter. John and several of his teammates have booked all of their hunts through Bruce ever since.
After four years in Tampa John went to the Seattle Seahawks for two years where he was part of the 2005 NFC Championship team. After a string of injuries John has retired from the NFL and has teamed up with Bruce Grant. He brings the same kind of hard work and dedication to Grant Adventures that helped him become a professional athlete.
John now lives in Colorado with his wife Laura and their 3 children.
